Shauna will ward to them later about this but I figured they'd get the vacation out of the way the first week back since I'm sure they have stuff planned for the rest of the summer. That and Teeny and Shauna will be working so this is probably the best week to do it! They will meet at the Finnigan house and then use the Floo networks that Shauna has found for them to go to Fussen, Bavaria, Germany for four days, three nights.


Hotel Kurcafe, that they will be staying at.

Menu at the hotel. They can also eat elsewhere in the village, but I thought it'd be nice to have a reference for what they might eat.


The first day could be spent hiking (45 minutes) up to Neuschwanstein Castle, lots of pictures can be taken along the way, it's totally worth taking breaks near the pretty sights. I'm sure they'll meet interesting people who are also walking up. There's a station they can stop at to get water if they need it. When they get up to the castle there's usually wait for the tours so they can again sit around outside. Shauna will probably be all chipper and talking about how awesome it is that they are going to see Sleeping Beauty's castle. She'll want to take pictures of Pierce & Teeny, then Rose & Liam in front of it. Can you tell she's going to be a pain about this?

Then comes the tour, which I can't remember if you're allowed to take pictures inside or not. I don't have any pictures from inside there myself, so I'm assuming I wasn't allowed to and that's why. Shauna would've demanded to have been twirled in the throne room by Pierce or Liam. At the end of the tour there is a gift shop. She probably would've bought a keychain or something for each of them.

And then the long hike back down unless they were tired and didn't want to do that, instead they can take the huge horse carriage they have.


Castle Hohenschwwangau

In 1523 the castle was already described as not useful for defence purposes but with thin walls. The repair by the Italian architect Licio de Spari 1538 - 41 for the building owner, the Augsburg patrician Paumgarten, was nearly a rebuilding.

After repeated change of ownership, the Crown Prince Maximilian of Bavaria was addicted to the charm of the place and bought the meanwhile to ruin decayed castle. The restoration started in 1833.

King Maximilian II has used the castle as summer residence for his family with his son the later King Ludwig I

The second castle they could go see! Either the next day or same day.


Then Shauna would've suggested going to do something relaxing like swimming in a lake nearby (there's 11 to choose from), they could bike to it or Shauna was totally willing to Apparate them. (Can Liam and Rose apparate? I can't remember). She would've packed a picnic-y lunch for them as well. There's also a bunch of bakeries in the village that Shauna would've been like :D Who wants to go try some? Oh, and if at any point the couples wanted to go off on their own she would've let them as long as they met up back at the hotel at a set time so she'd know they were safe or something like that.


Last castle and the smallest of the three that was used more or less as a hunting lodge. This can be swapped out for second, third, or even if they wanted to just take a glimpse on the last day before heading home.


Hotel Room. 1) It was cheaper. 2) It's like a giant slumber party. 3) Shauna would've bought an inflatable bed and blanket for herself to fit in the room.
